大家早上好：目前我们公司因搬厂，公司的UL名称中文未做变更，仅英文名称做了变更，目前在UL目录上还可查到我们的UL号，现在我们正向UL申请更改英文名称，但需要一段时间才能被UL审批，是否需要更改UL号及是否对我们的客户有影响？

Yeh, from a short run, it will affect your business, but from a long run, it won't because your factory is really authorized by UL, and everybody can check your factory's information through UL website, and in this case, I suggest your factory should inform your big clients about this revision in advance...

应该不用更改UL号，把你们的新名称和地址向UL报备，申请更新UL数据库就可以了。如果变更UL控制号对客户会有影响。客户的产品的TYPE TEST REPORT 中一般会有用到的零部件的UL号，所以如果有变更一定要通知客户，并做好对客户进行赔偿损失的准备（如果是不能得罪的客户） [s:3] 当然，如果不怕得罪客户，那就另当别论了！我们申请过地址名称变更，也不用变UL号！

Let me say in this way, I also believe the UL file No. is not necessary to be changed, you only need to apply for change the factory address, as well the factory name if applicable, then in this case, an IPI(Intial Production Inspection) will be needed for this new factory location, no other impacts.
As you said, your factory name will be changed, then in this case, you need to inform all your important clients in advance, cause you know, in your customers' UL FUS procedure, maybe your old factory name is still indicated, then your customers' UL file also need to be updated for your factory name's information, so I strongly suggest not to change the factory name, only update the factory address for the new location.
Anyway, that's my personal point of view...

If your factory is an OEM, normally in this case, you are not the applicant for the UL file, and your factory's information can not be found in the UL website, why you mentioned that you still can get your factory's information? I'm a little stranged, and only if your factory is the applicant and/or Listee, then you can find your factory's information from the UL website.
Another case, if your factory uses the UL multiple listing procedure with the original factory, then you can get your factory's information, but that's only your factory's information...

Yes, if your change your manufacturing location, then IPI is necessary, and if you really decides that factory name must be changed, then two options:
1. Confirm with UL-CCIC Suzhou office, keep the UL file No. unchanged, and inform your customers as soon as possible in order to avoid confusion;
2. Add the new factory location into your existing UL file, and both your old name/address factory and your new name/address factory can be covered by your existing UL file.

i have a question.if there are two factory adresses and names in the UL files,how the FUS execute?only one factory is OK?

every manufactruing location listed in the UL FUS procedure needs to be inspected,as well two FUS inspection fee will occur...

And if in this case, and for some locations shown in the FUS procedure, there's no production for a long time( more than half year), then you can apply for UL on-call procedure, then the inspection frequency will be once per year, as well, the inspection fee will only need to be paid for once, not four times....

I agree on this count, if you have many authorized UL files, every authorized UL file needs to be inspected too.
